Micro-Blogging Site Twitter is testing a feature on Twitter. Which will keep the news stories in the top of the timeline so that the users keep up with events happening around the world?
With this feature, a message will prompt (catch up on what’s happened while you are away). Earlier in 2015 and 2016, Twitter had introduced features such as ‘When you are away‘ and ‘Never miss an important tweet‘. However, these news stories were not specifically highlighted.
What kind of news will be shown on “Twitter Stories Timeline”
These features will focus on news stories of News Agencies and Institutions more than interesting and popular. It has been reported that “Catching up with the news” test feature is in line with the other features being tested on Twitter. The main objective of these features is to make special conversation and news-based events easier.
Talking about another news related to social media, a recent report has found that Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg is preparing to integrate WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. All of these three standalone applications will remain, but they can be brought to a single platform. If this happens, you will be able to send messages in the second app while using an app or any of these apps.
The New York Times has stated that the project may end by the end of this year or by the beginning of 2020. People working in the project told to “New York Times” that Facebook wants to earn more money by merging all application into one. Wherē people will spend more time on those apps then people will switch less in Google and Apple apps.
