Shenmue and Shenmue 2 HD games are coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on August 21 this year. Sega announced today The re-release, Shenmue 1 & 2, will be released on August 21.

Incidentally, the PC version is already up for pre-order on Steam in India for Rs. 2,750 and comes with Denuvo DRM, a deal-breaker for many a PC gamer. As for retail pricing, Shenmue 1 and 2 for Xbox One and PS4 in India has a price of Rs. 2,999 and is up for pre-order now. Internationally the game costs $30.

Sega calls the Shenmue 1 & 2 will contain all-new modernized features. Shenmue 1 & 2 will come with the “definitive version”. Shenmue 1 & 2 will come with “fully scalable screen resolution” and with the classic and modern adventures, choice of modern or classic control schemes, PC graphics options, an updated user interface and the option to enjoy either the English or original Japanese voiceovers.

It will at least make the classic martial arts adventure games finally look nice on that HD screen of yours. There is also the option of a modern control scheme, updated UI, fully scalable resolutions, and even Japanese audio for the first time ever in the West.
